NIMBUS L-382
The NIMBUS L-382 is a modular dispersant spray system designed and certificated for operation from un-modified Lockheed L382/C-130 "Hercules" aircraft. This unique system, which comprises four Tank Modules and a combined Spray Arm/Pump Module, can be installed, loaded and in operation within a matter of hours for local spills. For response organisations with World-Wide commitments, the flexibility of the modular design provides the potential for a significant reduction in response times as NIMBUS can be transported by conventional jet transport aircraft to distant locations for installation in a pre-positioned "Hercules". The result is a much faster response to remote oil spills which is a critical factor in the successful use of dispersants.
