Fernie supply a full range of dispersant spray arms to suit
the installation and operating requirements.
In dispersant application, it is important that the system
design (pump unit and spray arms) is properly integrated to
ensure that the spray nozzle performance is matched to the
pump output. In addition, the system should provide an adequate
range of application rates so that the operator is able to
cope with a wide variety of oil spill conditions.
It is the combination of dispersant flow rate and spray pattern
which determines the system performance and Ayles Fernie systems
have been designed to provide optimum performance which is
consistent with modern dispersant capabilities and oil spill
response methods.
Standard spray arms are of a demountable design so that they
can be rigged quickly and de-rigged & stored easily when
not in use. Spray arm details are available on the Product
Datasheets which are accessed via the Product Pages. Standard
Spray arms are supplied in:
· Stainless Steel (4 to 6m)
· Aluminium (4 to 8m)
All spray arm sets are supplied complete with all necessary
fittings including hoses, nozzles, topping wires, fore/aft
stays and deck fittings. In particular, nozzles are carefully
matched to the pump output performance such that flow rates
and pressures at the nozzles provide the appropriate droplet
size for optimum dispersant performance.
